What We’ve Already Done!
👻 ASU Barrett Honors College
Over 4 days, our program manager Managers and an amazing team of ASU volunteers led by Advait Rajan and high school volunteers engaged with over 1,000 students at Barrett, The Honors College. We were so excited to encourage civic engagement through bingo and offering snow cones! New Voters tabled at the Barrett Honors College on 10/1 and 10/2, the Vista del Soul Student Center on 10/2, and at FriYay on 10/3 at Barrett downtown's campus.
👻 Trick-Or-Vote in Harrisburg 🎃
Together with Governor Josh Shapiro’s NextGen Commission, our team took to Harrisburg on Monday, October 14th to bring folks to the polls. We had a Halloween-themed voting event where community members can relive the joys of trick-or-treating together and register, make a plan to vote, and vote early at a nearby SEO! Thank you to our partners at Pizza to the Polls for supporting this event.
🌊 New Voters in Menlo Park ☀️
We were thrilled to have held our first-ever in-person fundraiser! On Tuesday, October 8th, in Menlo Park, CA, we gathered for an intimate evening of refreshments and updates from our team leaders on how New Voters is making an impact. It was a fantastic opportunity to share our work with the Bay Area community, from our efforts to institutionalize voter registration in Pennsylvania and Arizona, to our mission of registering 4 million students each year as they graduate high school.
In attendance were Jahnavi Rao, our founder and president, Ryan Murthy, our Director of Technology, and student leaders Matt Han, George Zhang, Sid Suresh and Saanvi Bhatia who are now studying at Stanford. We loved meeting everyone and supporting the voice of young leaders!
