Latest updates from New Voters:
We have received bipartisan support for the bill we introduced in the PA House in late June! We created a video explaining the bill and highlighting PA High School Democrat and Republicans supporting the bill. Click here to watch.
We have trained over 20 schools over the summer to run voter registration drives leading up to the election!
On July 28th, we hosted a writing workshop with Lavanya Singh, a 3-year Harvard Writing Center Tutor. Attendees learned about the best techniques for writing essays, such as mastering the thesis and the importance of staying concise when writing.
New Voters has launched a Regional Leads program! Regional leads will expand the New Voters network in their regions, coordinate with chapters in their community, and spearhead local outreach. Apply here!
In relation to the PA bill, New Voters is currently accepting applications for our Summer 2022 Task Force. This group of students will garner support for the bill by being provided with email, phone call, and social media templates in an effort to urge their representatives to support. We partnered with APIAVote to bring a few of our high school chapters to Washington D.C. for the Unity March to combat Asian Hate on June 25th. See below a photo of New Voters communications team member, Rubina.
